After 21 years at 161 N. Loudoun St the Underwood bakery founded by Robert Underwood in 1934 will close today. The owners, New Jersey natives, operated a farm near Greenspring before starting the bakery. The building is owned by the W. E. Barr estate and will be sold to settle the estate.

British apologize for frogman incident near Soviet cruiser
London reports that Britain apologised for the disappearance of Lionel Crabb, a retired Royal Navy diver, after he was seen near Soviet ships in Portsmouth harbor on April 19 during a visit by Bulganin and Khrushchev.
