Police Chase Through Winchester Ends with 17-Year-Old Surrender
A 17-year-old Westernport boy named Gerald Clifton Fazenbaker surrendered to Winchester police after a high speed pursuit from near Romney to Berryville Pike. He allegedly stole a Dodge pickup in Keyser West Virginia, led officers at speeds around 85 mph, fired upon by Officer Boyce, then fled to Twin Springs where he allegedly bought 17 gallons of gas without payment before being taken into custody for auto larceny and to be sent to West Virginia authorities.

Washington motorcyclist Bernard Wall died at Memorial hospital from internal chest skull and spinal injuries after his machine overslid the north turn in the Novice final Sunday. He was traveling at high speed when the crash occurred. Caulthrop Clark, of Washington, injured in a highway accident near Winchester, was to be discharged from the hospital today.

Brumback for 20 lambs and 6 ewes killed and 3 ewes crippled when dogs raided a 30 ewe 34 lamb flock on the Byron Brumback land near Middletown April 27.
