Menacing Crowd Arrests During Trial in Huntsville
In Huntsville Alabama May 11 two leaders of a 50 person mob were arrested as Walter Miller a large Black man stood trial for the attack and slaying of Vivian Woodward a 19 year old white girl. National Guardsmen numbered 250 kept order around the courthouse amid a tense scene. The mob had formed after the March 28 assault as the victim walked home from a movie.

Eckener Not Planning Blimp Record Flight
