Constantinople May 2 Greek destroyers have sailed from Brusa under orders to enforce a blockade of Turkish Black Sea ports. The Greek battleship Kilkos, formerly the United States steamer Mississippi, has seized the Turkish steamship Inecd as retaliation for the seizure of the steamship Ensis in the Black Sea.

Funeral Follows Death of Wilton County Couple Jerry and Mary Morgan

John Mann Methodist Church in Winchester held funeral services for Jerry Morgan and his wife Mary, aged and beloved colored couple who died within a day of each other after a Sunday fire at their South Stewart Street home. Incendiary origin suspected. They were buried side by side at the colored cemetery with white and colored mourners in attendance. Clarence Morgan of Pittsburgh attended, and a selected choir performed hymns the couple loved.

Winchester area roadholdup leads to gunfire near Ash Hollow

E W Collis of Collis and Wagner reported last night he faced a man signaling to stop on the Winchester Blue pike near Ash Hollow. Collis fired at the highwayman’s feet as he drove past. The man gave no cry. The incident followed another robbery near Berryville where Liggett lost about £75 after his car hit a log. Sheriff Pannett held information but offered no details as arrests were anticipated. A small party was being watched in Berryville.
