Waghorn Dies From Airplane Crash Injuries
Flight Lieutenant H R D Waghorn, 1929 Schneider Cup winner for Britain, died in hospital after injuries from a crash near Farnborough. Parachuting with E R Alexander, Waghorn landed on a shed roof, suffered head and limb injuries. Alexander escaped with lesser harm. An operation was performed last night but his condition worsened.
