AP reports the Vietnam War’s heaviest fighting since Tet continued for a fourth day in the Hue and Dong Ha area. Allied forces tally 1,139 enemy dead, with 93 allied dead and 449 wounded in the Hue-Dong Ha fighting. U.S. and Marine units report heavy artillery, air strikes, and a push to reduce enemy supply routes in the A Shau Valley.
