Million Offered For Herr Hitler Trial
Samuel Harden Church of the Carnegie Institute announced a $28,000,000 offer from an unnamed group to seize Hitler and bring him to trial before a high court of justice for crimes against world peace. The plan echoes a postwar raid to kidnap Kaiser Wilhelm from Holland by American soldiers. Church said the proposal aims to form a court of all civilized nations with the United States as a member, but warned the effort is not optimistic and would face Swiss and British resistance.
