Funeral Rites Held for Fred L Glaize Leader Remembered

First Locomotive Entry Centennial Noted in Virginia History
The Thomas Jefferson locomotive, built in 1835 for the Baltimore and Ohio, was loaned to the Winchester and Potomac Railroad for its 1836 opening and became the first America built locomotive to enter Virginia. Three Killed When Car Hits Greyhound Bus in Lookout
Three young men from Lookout were killed when their car collided head on with a Greyhound bus en route from Charleston to Richmond. Victims were identified as Harry Diehl Joey Nash and Roy Quick. The six on the bus escaped injury. Diehl and Nash died instantly and Quick perished from burns after the vehicle caught fire.
