Tragedy Strikes Winchester as Three Die in Home Fire
A fire at the Walter Mills home on South Cameron and East Gerrard streets killed Ruth Grim 14 Leon Mills 5 and Nancy Mills 17 months. A pail of gasoline overturned in the kitchen sparked the blaze and caused the deadly sequence. Ruth Grim and Leon Mills perished within hours and Nancy Mills died later at Memorial Hospital. The incident shook the community with many offerings of sympathy and recalls a prior triple death in the city.

Miss Anna Louise Sherrard died of heart trouble at her brother Robert Sherrard's home in Gerardstown. Born April 19 1863 in Berkeley County she was active in the Presbyterian Church. Survived by a sister and three brothers J Albert Sherrard Inwood Ashby and Robert Sherrard. Burial Friday at 2 30 pm at the home and Presbyterian Cemetery.
