The Adamson eight hour law is declared constitutional. Beginning January 1 a day is eight hours for most common carriers under 100 miles and for electric railroads. A three member commission will study effects within six to ten months. Until then wages stay at current levels with overtime pay for hours beyond eight. penalties include fines up to $1000 or one year in jail.
