Branson burial set at Hopewell Church Sunday
Funeral services for the late Jona than W. Branson of Clearbrook will be held at the Friends Meeting house at Hopewell at 2 PM Sunday, with burial in Hopewell burying ground. The Rev Joel Barton of Philadelphia is expected to conduct the rites. Pallbearers are Lewis Pidgeon, Arthur Robinson, James R. Lupton, Howell Bond, Carroll Clevinger and Joseph Jdlliffe. Branson, from a prominent Frederick County family, was a longtime farmer and respected citizen. Surviving are his widow Miss Cunningham of Maryland and granddaughter Miss Lillian Doing.

John S. Parsons, state commissioner of fisheries and game, reports about 600 letters from applicants for game warden positions to cover cities and counties. Appointments will be made in July or August, with one warden per city and per county plus others at large. Virginia adopts a new license schedule effective July 1, with residents paying 3 dollars for multi county hunts and non residents 10 dollars. landowners may hunt on their own land. Wireless Station to Rise at Dagmar Hotel in Hagerstown
A Winchester man, Cleveland Dicks, will erect a wireless telegraph station atop the Hotel Dagmar in Hagerstown. Equipment has been ordered and the 80 foot pole arrangement will place the station among the region’s highest. Two Victims Of Crash Reported Unimproved At Memorial
Miss Annabel Grove and her brother Stanley Grove of near Kernstown were among six injured when the Grove touring car struck a telegraph pole on the Northwestern grade near town. Both siblings were described as seriously hurt with internal injuries. Mr Grove suffered a broken leg and a dislocated hip. Sallie Grove and William Grove escaped more serious harm and left the hospital. Benton Snider and Mary Snapp were also listed as recovering or able to be out.
