Six youths injured as Studebaker crashes into telephone pole
A seven passenger Studebaker carrying Stanley and William Grove and Misses Annabel Sallie Grove Emory Snapp and Benton Snider crashed into a city telephone pole on the Northwestern grade opposite Dr B C Stuart’s home. All seven were thrown from the car and rushed to Memorial Hospital. Stanley Grove suffered a broken leg a dislocated hip and internal injuries while Annabel Grove sustained internal injuries and facial trauma. The others sustained cuts bruises and shock. The party had attended an oyster supper at Round Hill before the crash and were returning to Winchester.

Jonathan W. Branson a well known resident of the northern section of Eredatick comments died at 2:20 PM at his home near Clearbrook aged 75. He died of a general breakdown due to advanced age and is survived by his widow formerly Miss Caroline Cunningham of Maryland with no children. He was a prominent member of the Society of Friends. Funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow.

Three hundred thousand rounds of rifle ammunition were delivered to Gen. P Elias Calles in Douglas Arizona. It is the first shipment of 700000 rounds for Carranza soldiers led by Col Dato Campbell to aid U S troops against Francisco Villa and his bandits.
