Wedding etiquette and fire insurance origins discussed
A joint meeting with the Senior Woman's Club is noted. The bride should stand to the left of the groom during the ceremony facing the minister. Fire insurance traces to the Great Fire of London in 1666, prompting new protection and several companies forming in the late 17th century.
