President Coolidge and Postmaster General McLean exchanged telegrams over Secretary of the Navy quitting. The president tells the publisher you have most certain days been faithful in duty and questions the timing of the resignation.
The Senate oil committee released two telegrams from President Coolidge to Edward B. McLean, one about district matters in the District of Columbia and the other a Lincoln Day congratulation. Officials said the February 12 message referred to a congratulatory exchange, not policy, and clarified the district commissionership context.
F S Emmert Son and Company announces L R Smith of Charlottesville Va will be resident manager of the Emmert store on North Main street succeeding Frank Nichol who plans to return to Pittsburg Pa.
