In Mexico City at the Principal Theatre fire swept through after a midnight show. Fourteen people died mostly women and children. many were trampled in a narrow doorway during the panic. Eight corpses were recovered and more reported in the debris as firemen battled the blaze.
Paris dispatch says the French cabinet deemed the tri partite naval agreement with Great Britain and Italy satisfactory and to be submitted to the United States Japan and the British dominions. Tokyo reports publish details claiming France would hold 136 000 tons in light cruisers and two capital ships of 23 000 tons, with Italy at 120 000 tons and two ships of smaller tonnage.
Annapolis Maryland March 2 fear that G Paul Molden local garage proprietor and secretary of the Annapolis Automobile Dealers Association may have committed suicide was expressed today by Police Chief Richard B Hollin Molden has been missing from his home since February 27 and oyster fishermen began a search of the Severn River for his body He had more than 100 in his possession when last seen and his wife says he had suffered amnesia for some time but gave no reason for suicide.

Archibald B Bevan a 72 year old English native and longtime Clarke county resident died at his Millwood home after a long illness. He helped organize the Blue Ridge Hunt Club and served as master of hounds until ill health confined him. The club canceled its hunt meet in his memory. He leaves a first wife deceased, a son and daughter from that marriage, a second wife Mary Meade, and one sister in England. Funeral Tuesday at 3 30 PM at Old Chapel Protestant Episcopal Church Cunningham parish with interment in Old Chapel Cemetery.
A. W. Oates of Keyser West Virginia, brakeman for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, was killed in Hagerstown Maryland today when he fell under a freight train in the Western Maryland yard. The train severed his body at the waist. Coroner Richard Duffey ruled accidental death. Oates leaves a widow and two children.
Anthony Gray manager of the Fairview Orchard northwest of Kearneysville reports tested embryo apple buds are in excellent condition. He notes last summer's drought weakened some buds but remains confident there are enough healthy ones to yield a crop.
Funeral services were held today at Martinsburg West Virginia for A Willard Mills 25 an employee of Interwoven Mills who died Saturday in a hospital following an operation He was a son of T A Mills formerly of Clarke county Virginia and is survived by a widow one daughter his father two brothers and one sister
The Little Theatre holds its regular meeting at 7 30 tonight Tuesday March 3 at the Handley Library to vote on the next play. Members are urged to attend in full force for the decision.
The Arequipa based southern junta refuses to recognize the new Peruvian provisional government over Colonel Paiz Bravo’s army representation and the militia’s prior approval of an expedition against Arequipa. A new junta led by Ricardo Leoncio Blas is formed.
James J. McGuire, 47, a Baltimore street car conductor, was struck and killed today as he alighted from his car to turn out a night electric light at Liberty Heights and Burleigh avenues. Nathan Kaminsky, 19, the alleged driver, was held by police awaiting the coroner's action.
Twelve stenographers and typists have offered part time service to the publicity and advertising work of the firemen's joint convention to be held here next August. No more are needed, announced at convention headquarters by H. R. Potts, publicity director. The volunteers will assist the convention committee and will be notified when needed.

W Glenn Carter, a respected farmer and business man of Brucetown in Clarke County, died at Charles Town General Hospital after bronchial pneumonia. He leaves a widow Edith Speck and six children, two sisters, and many relatives. Funeral at Payne Chapel Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
The Salvation Army soup and lunch kitchen received 15 from Miller and Anderson after a Philco radio program for the unemployed prompted local contributions. The army also got 4 from national headquarters in New York. Major Mars invites visitors to view the kitchen and donors to continue giving cash and food this week. Saturday donations included 1 from E O Thomas, several friends, Haldeman Creamery milk, and clothing and shoes.
Thomas F. Martin, a Philadelphia suspect in the C. Cameron Cook bank messenger killing during a December 6, 1929 armored car holdup, was electrocuted at Rockview prison. He proclaimed innocence alongside Thomas McCaffrey as William Macenthun and Walter Maloney received life terms. MacCaffrey awaits trial in Montreal on a separate charge.
Virginia National Committeeman Harry F. Byrd arrives in Washington to direct Southern opposition to a plan for the Democratic National Committee to commit the party to anti prohibition. Byrd argues the committee lacks authority to alter party declarations and will oppose proxy votes.
