Hengyang Surrounded as Chinese Defenders Fight Tenaciously
CHUNGKING June 28 The high command says Japanese forces surround Hengyang a vital Hunan railway junction. Loss of Hengyang would be China’s greatest blow since 1938 fall of Canton and Hankow.
