Viet Cong denounces Nixon Viet policy at Paris talks
At the 23rd full scale Vietnam peace talks in Paris, Viet Cong representative Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bihn and North Vietnamese negotiator Ha Van Lau denounced President Nixon's policy as deceitful and a dead end. U S Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge rejected the motives and warned that troop withdrawals depend on training, equipment, and progress in talks. Bihn and Lau said de Americanization would prolong fighting and mislead public opinion.

Camping Season Opens At Rock Enon Camp For Scouts
The Shenandoah Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America began the summer camping season at Camp Rock Enon near Gore with eight troops, 85 boys, and 12 leaders. Camp staff totals 32 led by Dan Beard and Carroll Shepherd. Roy Bayliss expects about 1,100 boys over seven weeks as daily activities include swimming boating canoeing merit badges nature studies conservation handicrafts cooking and pioneering. A weekly campfire is held Friday nights for the public.
