Shrimp In Meat Jelly Molded in Clear Soup
Shell shrimp and arrange in a shallow rimmed dish. Top with slices of hardboiled eggs. Pour reduced clear soup with lemon onion parsley and capers over and chill 6 to 8 hours until set as a jelly. Serve very cold with mayonnaise. Substituting ordinary stock needs 2 teaspoons gelatin.
Sauce for Baked Ham Recipe
Mix vinegar with mustard. Add 2 tablespoons tomato catsup 2 tablespoons sherry 2 peons tarragon vine gar tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon Worcestershire 1 teaspoon mustard. Heat the mixture after combining all ingredients.
Spinach Soup From Fresh Or Leftover Greens
A practical spinach soup recipe using 1 1 2 cups cooked spinach 2 cups milk 2 cups water bouillon 2 tablespoons butter flour salt pepper onion. Cook spinach mix with milk water and sieve then double boiler. Melt butter stir in flour and seasonings add hot liquid and thicken. Serves four. Also notes draining fruit before freezing to prevent ice crystals.
