Nine Year Old Girl Attacked Near Franklin County
In Rocky Mount Virginia a nine year old girl from the Wirtz area was assaulted near her home. Walter Nunley age 44 a father of two was jailed on charges and a special grand jury may be convened Thursday. The girl was treated at a hospital after walking to a neighbor’s home and collapsing in the yard. Deputy Wilson Abshire and Constable H T Abshire arrested Nunley, who resides in Huntington West Virginia and was visiting relatives in the county.
