Company I of the Second Virginia Regiment under Capt Robert Y Conrad will depart Winchester for the state mobilization camp in Richmond tomorrow morning. The movement includes a special train route via Baltimore and Ohio Southern and Norfolk and Western lines with joining points at Strasburg Junction Front Royal Luray Elkton and Richmond. A report from Washington said the War Department may waive medical exams for militiamen entering regular service, potentially keeping current members. Lacy preached an appropriate sermon as the congregation filled the church and the soldiers filed out in uniform. The organist accompanied a recessional to Onward Christian Soldiers.

Fire damages B& O combination car near station
A spark from the engine set fire to a mail and baggage car on Baltimore and Ohio train No. 18 late Friday afternoon. The train, not stopped at the station, was run to the water tank where the blaze was put out and the car damaged at one end. Mrs. S. D.
