Circle Tour Signs Being Reached
The Virginia Civil War Commission announced ten cast aluminum battle position maps will be erected in the Shenandoah Valley to mark sites of ten major Civil War battles. Maps, in red and blue, show commanders and troop movements with 140 word inscriptions. Maps funded with highway department cooperation and produced in Norfolk, with frames from the State Penitentiary, will be erected by the Staunton District.
