K Kidnap Plot Foiled and Area Accidents Report
Seven people were injured in a two vehicle crash and a youth sustained minor injuries in two additional mishaps yesterday afternoon. The John H Enders Rescue Squad transported the injured to Winchester Memorial Hospital where five were released and two admitted.

Pan Am Berlin flight defies Soviet warning
A Pan American World Airways jet from New York flew through the Berlin air corridor despite a Soviet protest calling the service illegal. The plane landed at Tegel at 1 27 p.m. after stops in Keflavik and Prestwick with 77 passengers. Pan Am says flights will continue three times weekly and that U.S. and West Berlin approvals remain in effect.

Fifty U S Soldiers Arrive in Thailand For Build-Up
About 50 soldiers of the U S 25th Division were reported to have arrived in Thailand to help stockpile military equipment. An additional 60 to 70 were expected to follow for the operation described as a buildup of American strength in this strategic Southeast Asian nation. Five U S ships carrying trucks armored personnel carriers signal equipment ammunition and construction gear are en route to Thailand. The first vessel is scheduled to dock in Bangkok tonight.

A motel fire on U.S. Route 11 south of town was apparently arson. The blaze ripped through the roof and a supply room for the six unit Early A American Motel operated by Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey A.
