Local Social News and Rural Notes
Rey and Mrs H C Hooks dined with Mr and Mrs Asa Racey last Sunday. Washington D C visitors included Mr Robert Loy, Miss Viola Loy, and Mr Willie Mayhew visiting Ashby Loy’s family. Mrs Guy Lofton and children of Winchester visited James A Boyce family and called on Mrs Ashby Loy. The community mourns Mrs Mattie Roe’s death with sympathy for Mr Roe and the children. Cows feed on legume hay now, and fair exhibitors may win next year as seeds improve. An old saying notes an ear in the shack is worth three in the shack, likely to be proven true this year.
