District Superintendent Takes Up Duties Here
Paul Douglas Martin Jr. arrives as the new Winchester District United Methodist Church superintendent succeeding Dr. Harry B. Eaton who moves to Arlington District. A Roanoke native, Martin served as Army chaplain in Europe during World War II, later in Korea, and held posts in Roanoke Dan and Richmond districts before his Winchester appointment. He is married to Virginia Akers. they have three daughters.
