A supplier proposes to supply street lighting to the city at a lower rate than the municipal plant. If city contracts, the company would retire competition in lighting, avoids dismantling the city plant, and offers a five year term with possible extensions. It claims lower current costs due to diverse loads and its five steam plants four water power stations and transmission network.
The Associated Press reports a federal source outlines a plan using troopships to deport alien agitators to their native lands. The disclosure notes June information on wholesale deportation themes and radical activity across the country.

Reisler says he has spent 40000 dollars pursuing suits in seven states. Also listed is Philip Langley's executor sale near Red Bud with farming implements and livestock to be sold Friday June 27 at 1 pm.

L. C. Bromley and Paul Bromley operating a North Brad dock street garage were fined five dollars and costs for violating a city ordinance banning unnecessary noises between midnight and 6 am. They were acquitted on two other charges. Neighbors testified the noise disturbed sleep. several ladies in court named by their spouses gave testimony. The warrant was sworn out by Treat Swimley, who lives opposite the garage.
The Mayaguez motion picture theater was destroyed by fire on Thursday night. Sixty bodies have been recovered from the ruins and about 150 people were injured, with many feared dead after a panic where women and children were crushed.
Paris reports the Soviet government fights a religious movement spreading through Moscow Novgorod and Vladimir provinces. Peasants are said to deem Premier Lenine the anti Christ foretold in scriptures while Bolsheviks oppose the movement with propaganda.
