A man in Silay allegedly killed his wife after attending post funeral services. Police reported the incident occurred shortly after the ceremony, with investigators examining motive and potential domestic dispute links.
Frederick Roy Smith aged 20 shot and killed his wife Clara Wilhide Smith aged 19 near Woodsboro Maryland and then killed himself. Four other passengers in the carriage were wounded, including Beatrice and Mildred Wilhide and Frances Saxton. The tragedy followed Children's Day services at Oak Hill Church of God.
A reward of 25 dollars offered for the recovery of an Overland car reported stolen in Brunswick Maryland on Saturday June 16. Vehicle details include Virginia license 79010 engine 142690 1921 model. The Friendship Fire Company revived a historic memorial service, placing flowers on 131 graves at Mount Hebron and Catholic cemeteries. Led by the Citizens’ Band, members honored former Captains Fred Blankner, James M. Haymaker, and other departed firefighters with hymns and a procession, then returned to the hall for thanks to the band.

One of the season’s prettiest early summer weddings in Winchester united Miss Julia Roe and Conrad Filsinger of Hagerstown Md. The ceremony occurred at the bride’s mother residence on South Main Street with music, floral decor, and a formal clergyman. After the ceremony the couple left for their new home in Hagerstown.
Washington June 18 A series of shocks registered on the Georgetown University seismograph began at 3 35 this morning. The tremors were estimated to have occurred about 2700 miles away and were of moderate intensity.
