Harvest farmer found dead in field near Winchester
Mr Adjourn W Ware a wellfarmer and county notable was found dead yesterday afternoon in a field on the farm of Oscar Ware three miles northeast of Winchester. Death due to heart failure thought from harvesting exertion. Funeral from Oscar Ware's residence tomorrow at noon with Rev George W Stover officiating. interment in Mount Hebron Cemetery. He leaves a widow and eight children. Ware was 67 and a native of Frederick County.

War Department reports overseas casualties in June
Forty overseas casualties announced by the War Department include ten killed in action two died of wounds one died from an aeroplane accident one died of disease one died from accident and 33 wounded severely with one wounded slightly. In the Marine Corps attached to American forces in France one hundred three casualties are listed with five killed in action twelve died of wounds and 46 wounded. James A. Clayton of Rushville Virginia died of wounds. Private Lester W. Santmyers of Strasburg Virginia seriously wounded.
