City Council Weighs 1933 Budget Adjustments
The city plans a $250,547 operating and capital mix for 1933 with total appropriations at $48,475, a reduction from 1932. Schools face cuts of about $13,600 under 1932 and $13,000 under 1931, while debt service remains largely unchanged though interest costs continue to rise. Bonds retired in 1932 will reduce interest in 1933, and a $1,500 contingency is set aside for unforeseen trouble.
