Virginia hearing on surface mining regulations set for June 22
The Mining Committee and staff of the Board of Conservation and Economic Development will hold a hearing at 10 a.m. on Thursday June 22 in Virginia Beach to consider changes to surface mining regulations for minerals other than coal. Participants may submit written comments to the Department of Conservation and Economic Development or the Division of Mined Land Reclamation in advance.
