Virginia Bankers Elect Alexandrian President
Thomas E. Sebrell III of First & Citizens National Bank in Alexandria was elected president of the Virginia Bankers Association. He succeeds Brantley F. Barr of Danville. Jack Conn urged bankers to back college funding, saying brain power is the nation’s key resource. Paul O. Hirschbiel and James Austin were elected first and second vice presidents. The VBA gathering drew over 700 bankers and spouses, ending with Sen. John Sparkman’s address.
