A petite Chinese bank teller Rose Wing aided by a porter's wink disrupted a Queens Chemical Corn Exchange Bank robbery. Two armed men fled after she rushed from the bank as porter Arthur Hampton and head teller Rufolo were threatened, with Hampton letting in the teller and the robber duo escaping.
The nude body of a girl estimated 16 to 18 was found face down in six inches of water in Catoctin Creek Loudoun County Virginia at 10 45 am by Elmer Kitts a fisherman from Hamilton The find lies about 30 feet from the U S 9 bridge near Wheatland The same area had a nearby report of a nude unidentified girl found in the Potomac back waters near Brunswick bridge Saturday
At Walter Reed Hospital President Eisenhower told Chancellor Adenauer he hopes for action to liberate 17 million Germans in the Eastern zone. The meeting in pajamas followed his abdominal operation and signaled a cautious recovery as Adenauer headed to New York and Dulles praised the exchange.
