Joseph Wigginton, 18, of Company I Second Virginia Regiment, accidentally drowned while bathing in the Shenandoah near Overall Page County Va. His body was recovered by fellow soldiers and due in Winchester later today. Survived by a widowed mother and brothers J Conley Wigginton Charles A Wigginton Stewart H... The death is the first among Company I members since the unit began guarding railroad bridges in the Valley.
