This Was a Special One Hollywood Column By Gene Handsaker
Film column reviews two pictures from the same studio with S Sylvan Simon as producer. Jack Carson plays an ice cream peddler amid murder and robbery intrigue in a frantic slapstick heavy narrative. The review finds the comedy effort overlong yet occasionally funny. Donald O’Connor shines in Curtain Call at Cactus Creek with Gale Storm, Walter Brennan, Vincent Price and Eve Arden.
