Union Bank of Winchester taps H. B. McCormac as president
Directors praise the selection of H B McCormac to succeed James B Russell as president of the Union Bank of Winchester. Russell retires after about 55 years, a southern banking record, while McCormac brings extensive business experience from the Virginia Woolen Company and the Virginia Manufacturers' Association. Russell, a charter board member since 1870, served over six decades and helped appoint McCormac. He is noted as the oldest active businessman in Winchester and Frederick County.
