15 Feared Killed In Crash of Mexican Airliner
Fifteen persons were reported killed when an airliner crashed during a forced landing at the Perla ranch near Pichucalco. Three victims were brought to Tuxtla Gutierrez. Unconfirmed reports said 13 passengers and both pilots died in the Servicios Aereos de Chiapas crash during the landing attempt.

In Prague on June 9 the National Front announced Communist Premier Klement Gottwald as the sole candidate to succeed Eduard Benes. Radio reports say Parliament will elect him by acclamation on Monday. Benes had resigned two days earlier and Gottwald had held executive powers. The new constitution then became law.
