Auto Crash East of Winchester Kills One Injures Two
A late night crash on the Berryville Winchester pike sent three men in a Chevrolet coupe crashing into a concrete bridge abutment. Hunter Royston, 23, was killed instantly. James Shepherd, 18, and Smith McFillen, 20, were severely injured. All three were thrown from the car as it demolished the bridge railing. The wreck occurred about 2.15 am after light rainfall made the road slippery.

Sudden death of Mrs Jolliffe at Winchester home
Mrs Charlotte M Jolliffe wife of George J Jolliffe died early today at 526 North Loudoun Street from a pulmonary hemorrhage in her seventy ninth year. She was born in Baltimore January 16 1854 and resided in Winchester since marriage. Survived by husband and three sons Richard S Lawrence V Jolliffe George J Jolliffe Jr of Baltimore. several grandchildren. Funeral at Christ Episcopal Church Wednesday at 11 with Rev Robert B Nelson officiating and interment Mount Hebron Cemetery.
