Young Pressman's Hand Injured Running Press
Robert Shank, son of Mr and Mrs William Shank of North Main street, was badly injured Tuesday afternoon when his right hand was caught in a press he operated by foot power. An off electric current may have spared him severing. He was taken to Memorial Hospital for X rays revealing badly cut and bruised bones and broken first three joints. Autoist And Bicycle Rider In Smashup
John Ebert Jr riding south on Braddock street on Wednesday evening collided with a bicycle ridden by a colored soldier. The front wheel was run over, the rider thrown over the radiator, and a cap was broken. Both blamed the other for the accident as the car did not horn before the crossing and the rider did not obey traffic. The colored man suffered a bruised chest and lacerated hand, with a heavily damaged bicycle. A large crowd witnessed the incident.
