Wall Richmond Dr J Garnett King Fredericksburg Mrs FE Hotchkiss Richmond Mrs Kate Anthony Walke Norfolk Mrs William J Judd Richmond Miss Mary C Pyke Widewater and Dr F S Hopes Portsmouth. They join Governor Byrd Lt Governor J E West and Speaker Thomas W Ozlin ex officio to form the commission with twelve electing a chairman.

Whittemore Plans Appeal From Cell After Denied New Trial
From his jail cell Richard Reese Whittemore said he will seek a Maryland Court of Appeals review of his case for the slaying of a Maryland penitentiary guard. The appellate court cannot hear an appeal until sentence is imposed. Judge Eugene O Dunne tentatively set Tuesday as the sentencing date for death or life imprisonment.
