Retired minister wounds wrist in Martinsburg hospital
Rev. Dr. J. B. Chamberlin a former United Brethren minister and optometrist in Martinsburg W V attempted to sever arteries in his left wrist with a safety razor while at Memorial Hospital authorities would not confirm details but said his life was saved by doctors. His daughters Carrie Minnie and Catherine Chamberlin were summoned from their home to the hospital and he is expected to recover.

Automobile spins thrice in Hill Death near New Market injury to Mrs Haldeman
An automobile skidded on a slippery hill on Valley Turnpike near New Market. Mrs. Jacob Haldeman suffered a severe scalp wound and was taken to the Moore house hospital and later to the home of her daughter in Harrisonburg. Joseph Hodgson, the driver, and bystander Dee son-in-law, were involved as the car overturned after spinning three times.

Bullet Placed Between Bones Injures Student
Otis Sargent, a Keng Haney School student, was shot and wounded while storms raged at the schop. He was removed from his home on South Market Street to receive care as doctors report the bullet passed between both leg bones without shattering them. An X ray Saturday showed the bullet tracked between the bones with no shattered bones, preserving hopes for eventual recovery and possible exercises after recovery.
