Henry C Stuart Former Virginia Governor Dies at 78
Henry Carter Stuart former Governor of Virginia died at his Elk Garden home after a two week illness. He served as governor from 1914 to 1918 and declined a post on the Interstate Commerce Commission in 1920. Born Wytheville 1856 he was a lawyer by training and a prominent landowner and farmer.
