E. C. Emmons of this city is jailed on a bigamy charge brought by his first wife Miss Pitcock. Two Meet Death In Motor Mishaps Near Baltimore
Two people died in separate motor incidents near Baltimore. Mrs. George T Wray, 30, was struck on Edgewood road and Edmundson avenue and died at a hospital. Driver Harry Correll, arrested, is husband of the victim who was with the Fifth Regiment at Camp Ritchie. A second victim, an unidentified truck driver, died when the truck overturned near a curve between Tuckeyeville and Glyndon. Richard Miller of Baltimore survived with minor injuries after being found in the wreckage.

In Eufaula Alabama on July 23 Lester Bouyer alias Charles Harris a Black man was found guilty of first degree murder for killing Jack Hines a mechanic four miles from town. The verdict came in under three hours with a judge sentencing Bouyer to electrocution on August 23.

City Sergeant Lee Barr returned from Augusta Georgia with Jerry F Forbes who is charged with removing an automobile under lien from the state. The warrant was issued at the Winchester Credit Companys request. Forbes was arrested in Augusta on local authorities request and agreed to return without a requisition.
