Army medic training dogs for Viet Nam wounds at Ft. Bragg
An Army Special Forces medic at Ft. Bragg conducts a three hour operation on a dog under anesthesia and later amputates a leg before the dog is euthanized. The program trains medics over forty weeks to treat wounds and observe shock effects to save human lives. Dogs come from local kennels and are prepped prior to use.
