Boyd Elwood Jenkins 23 of Route 3 Winchester pled guilty in Frederick County Circuit Court to perjury and received a two year suspended penitentiary sentence placed on three years probation. The terms run concurrently with a prior bigamy conviction in Corporation Court. Jenkins had claimed he was single when applying for marriage licenses on May 6 and November 2 1946 and gave the name Robert Elwood Jenkins and age 21 though he was 19. A grand jury indicted him on two perjury counts but one related to the first marriage was dismissed.
