BOYCE Va July 15 Ten months into grading and drainage on about half of the relocated nine miles of Route 50 between the Shenandoah and Winchester work is being done by Department of Highway forces Convict labor is used. The project east of Waterloo is finished while the section west of Waterloo is under construction and not expected to finish before fall 1941. 75 convicts labor under O M Cummins and H J Smethie at a camp two miles southeast of Millwood. An overpass will replace a railway crossing improving safety and reducing sharp curves along the route.
