Whitmore Dies Suddenly at Charles Town Home
George A. Whitmore, 74, died suddenly of heart failure late Saturday afternoon at his Charlestown West Virginia home. He had lived for years near Winchester on Opequon Creek and in Berkeley County where he farmed extensively and served as president of the County Court. He was a widower with two daughters Mrs. Roberts of Charles Town and Mrs. Harry V. Snyder of Tuscarora and a son Paxton Whitmore who died recently.
