Martin Holliday Injured Ankle In Fall At Cross Junction
Martin Holliday of Cross Junction Frederick county suffered a crushing injury when a heavy timber fell on his right ankle. He rode 15 miles to Winchester with his foot held aloft to ease the pain and was treated at the hospital by Dr. Hugh Clark who set the bone in a cast. He is improving but will likely keep the ankle in a cast for several weeks.
