Clarke Crash Leaves 2 Dead and Woman Hurt
Two men died in a head on collision on Route 340 north of Berryville. A Berryville woman suffered serious injuries and was treated at Winchester Memorial Hospital. State Trooper O W Messinger reported the 1971 Ford and 1967 68 Pontiac collided on a hill crest sending the Ford into a fence and the Pontiac onto the shoulder. Funeral arrangements were pending for Wayne Lowery and John Yates Yates.
