Joint Caucus Sets Nominations for State Posts in Richmond
In Richmond on January 15 the joint legislative caucus will meet at 4 p m to consider nominations for circuit court judgeships the auditor of public accounts the state corporation commission and other offices. A fifth circuit seat remains vacant after Judge Hutcheson’s death with a caucus likely soon to fill it. Col Joel W Flood of Appomattox among early candidates for the judgeship.

Corn Expert To Address Group At Virginia Seed Show
Dr. Merle T. Jenkins, chief corn investigator at the U S Department of Agriculture, will discuss hybrid corn at the annual state seed show in Culpeper January 25 26. Virginia Tech specialists and S F Grubbs sponsor the event with a broad premium list and interstate seed classes. A junior judging contest for 4 H club boys and vocational students is set for Friday morning January 26.

NBC to relay South Seas programs from Fahenstock expedition
The National Broadcasting Company plans about 20 monthly radio programs from the South Seas based on the Fahenstock Scientific Expedition, which departs for two years. Short wave transmission via the expedition boat will carry the broadcasts. The first program will describe the departure and reception is forecast generally good early then fair later.
