Sharon Roberta Burke and Arthur Raymond Maddox of Front Royal exchanged vows on Saturday January 7 at 3 p.m. in Calvary Episcopal Church. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Wilfred Waterhouse and Rev. Tom Bromseth. The bride wore an antique ivory satin gown with a cathedral train and lace Details, and carried a gardenia bouquet. The groom’s family and local relatives attended with attendants and a reception followed at the church parish hall. The couple will reside in Blacksburg after a southern wedding trip. The bride is daughter of Cecil and Barbara Burke. the groom is son of Charles Maddox Jr. and attended Warren County High School.

Miss Lou Ann Miller daughter of Mr and Mrs Garnett S Miller of 831 Berryville Ave named to the Dean's List for the fall semester at Virginia Commonwealth University She graduated Handley High School in 1977 and is a first year student in pre occupational therapy.
Becky Rinker, a James Madison University sophomore, earned Dean's list honors for the fall semester. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Philip D Rinker and the 1976 Saga of Handley High School graduate. Mr and Mrs John Burke returned to Perry Florida with daughter Angela after a week visiting their parents Mr and Mrs Robert K Burke of Rt 1 Winchester.
