Winchester Council Assails County Over Annexation Police Plan

Winchester city leaders disputed Frederick County Supervisors claim that State Police service would end in the annexed 5.9 square mile area by June 30. Mayor Battaile and City Manager Seldon said State Police and Highway Department will continue operations through June 30, 1971 per city request. The Supervisors passed a resolution denying the city's Jan 1 readiness claim and urged road maintenance revocation.

Indictment Announced in Harrisburg Plot Case

Gunter Clarifies Police Protection in Annexed Frederick County Area

Frederick County commonwealth's attorney E. Hearing on Senate redistricting proposes 27th District shift
